About

Jo Warburton, Sustainability copywriter, head and shoulders image

Hello, I’m Jo Warburton. I’m a creative and conscientious sustainability copywriter who understands the power of words.

I work with businesses and organisations that are seeking to do the right thing by people and planet, drawing on my extensive experience of sustainability copywriting, campaigning and engagement. Whether you need to develop a communications strategy, find an authentic tone of voice or build the creative, compelling and clear communications that deliver the impact you’re seeking, I’m here to support you.

I have been working in purpose-driven communications for over 26 years and have experience in the public, charity and business sectors. I have the Co-op to thank for much of this experience. Here, I was part of the pioneering ethics and sustainability teams for many years. I have a politics degree from Manchester University and a master’s degree in public relations (and a full resumé on LinkedIn if you’d like to know more).

Outside of work, I’m mum to two teenage boys, dogmother to what could be the world’s largest cockapoo, and I live with my husband, Simon, near Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester. I love music, good food and the great outdoors.

I’m a skilled listener, who takes a keen interest in the world and its people. I’ll get to know you, your market and your audience to ensure that your communications are tailored, targeted and authentic.

So, if you want to increase sales, raise awareness or arouse interest, educate, entertain or engage, please get in touch. Together, we’ll find the approach and words that work for you and your people.

Come and say halo.
